Royal Mail Price and Service Changes starting April 2nd 2013

New Royal Mail prices are coming in tomorrow.

Letter and large letter prices haven't changed.
1st Letter - 60p
2nd Letter - 50p
1st Large Letter <100g - 90p
2nd Large Letter <100g - 69p
1st Large Letter 101-250g (eg a DVD) - £1.20
2nd Large Letter 101-250g (eg a DVD) - £1.10

Recorded (which has been renamed Signed For) has gone up from 95p to £1.10 and Special Delivery prices have gone up about 10%.

Standard Parcels no longer exists - there's no cheap option for very large lightweight items any more.

Parcels are now divided into two sizes with two sets of rates:

Small Parcel - up to 45x35x8cm, 2kg - about the size of a large laptop, or cube-shaped parcels up to 16x16x16cm - starting from £2.60 for Second class under 1kg, £3 first class.

Medium Parcel - up to 61x46x46cm and 20kg - starting from £5.20 2nd, £5.65 1st under 1kg.
