Did they really go there though, and why have they never been back regularly given the technology available now, or has he taken the truth to his grave with him ?

Just one of the many videos raising doubts about the moon landings :

I well remember watching the moon landing in my granny's house in Smith Drive. It's the kind of thing that stays with you, and a wonderful memory, and hearing the famous words live as he said them. "One small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind"

At that time, I happened to have a quite consuming interest in astronomy, and had a particular interest because of this.

Apparently his Armstrong ancestry was traced to Langholm in Dumfriesshire, and he was given the freedom of the town, the only person who has ever been given this honour, and on that occasion he claimed it as his home town. Does this mean we can claim this as another Scottish first?

It seems he was a very private man in his later years.

I found these posters in a box some time ago, I remember having them on my bedroom wall in Cnoc Moy Gardens. I know it's not the Armstrong mission but someone may be interested....

RIP Neil Armstrong. The man responsible for the United States most unique achievement: planting the Stars and Stripes somewhere without having to kill anyone.

Alaska and Hawaii spring to mind.
I know my Summer'll never come
I know I'll cry until my dying day has come
Let the Winter roll along
I've got nothing left but song
