To be quite honest I think it captures some similar elements to Burns' "To a Mouse" and captures the idea that "Man's dominion has broken nature's social union". Quite impressive.

The poem was written in Peterhead prison by Matt Lygate, Matt greatly admired the work of Robert Burns, and as EMDEE correctly points out, has similarities with Burns " To A Mouse "
