To be quite honest I think it captures some similar elements to Burns' "To a Mouse" and captures the idea that "Man's dominion has broken nature's social union". Quite impressive. :D

I admit I liked it! It was just when I discovered who wrote it! Rhe sentiments and message didn't match the occasion - imho.

Aye somebody has been doing their homework. One of the reasons why, I decided not to credit the author :wink:
The poem was written in Peterhead prison by Matt Lygate, Matt greatly admired the work of Robert Burns, and as EMDEE correctly points out, has similarities with Burns " To A Mouse "
