I dont hold much hope for you MainMovies, I have got a 1000 channel scanner sitting in my cupboard collecting dust, most things we could pick up on the scanner have been lost since they went digital. I have been told you can get software to decode the digital signal but it cost around £1000, to rich for me.

Everything apart from PMR is just about digital now....

You may get the odd 2 way radio, ie Security or Building site, Raceday etc.... And the odd CB radio...

Everything about gone now....

Hi maxmix,
It's marvelous what you can find when you look through your old CB box of gear.
Found my scanner out and i have allso got my late father-in-law's scanner, and a handheld scanner my wife used, my scanner first.
On the front --- Realistic 1000 channel PRO-2042, UVHF Direct Entry Programmable AM/FM Scanning Receiver
On the back --- FREQ.Range 25-520, 760-1300 MHz
Power 230v~,50Hz,18 Watts
13.8v ~ 10 Watts, Neg Gnd
the other scanner
Front --- Realistic Hyperscan 400 PRO 2006
Back --- same as above

Handheld, with Rubber Duck
Front --- Realistic PRO-70, 50 channel scanner
Back --- Range 68~88, 137~174, 380~512 MHz

I switched my scanner on and after a few seconds it picked up (what i think) were a couple of aircraft, i have left it on for 1/2 an hour and as it cycles through there have been more aircraft ?
The other scanner seems to be working the same but there is a bleep about ever 2 seconds, it's been that long scince i used them i cant remember how to get rid of "the bleep".
Cant say anything as the handheld is battery powered (6xAA) none at home to try it, was in full working order when last used.
I have no instructions books for the 1000 & 400 scanner but do have the one for the handheld.
Hope this info is some use.
