Bill, am only a boy compared tae you, an coona possibly comment on thase wans that wurr or wurrna workin in the wee tea room Netta ran.
Ah mean if I wuz as owld as yi mik oot I am, I wud know that ur man used tae work in the creamery as well as helpin oot at the tea rooms, an I donno that.

Wan thing Mrs Reek aye tells me when ah gee hur a cup o coffee that nearly scaads the mooth off hur is that "coffee boiled is coffee spoiled"
She sez that the gentleman that used tae own the Royal Cafe ayewiz tellt hur that.
For yooz yins tryin tae work oot how owld that makes me(four years younger than Bengullion) she minds it fae when she wuz two, cos shizz got a grett memory :D

You know, Mr and Mrs Hill are very patient, and tolerant. They would need to be given the number of times that people spell their names wrongly! Now - I know that they would never dream of pointing that out to forum members ... diplomatic souls that they are.

However, I have no such compunction! And although you were the most recent, abbey craig, you are by no means that only one to use 'alternative' spellings.

Mrs Hill = Frances (not Francis ... that is the boy's name, as in Francis Lee - the footballer, and the only one I can think of right now!)
Mr Hill = Ian (not Iain ... a perfectly acceptable spelling of the name, and the more traditional Gaelic translation for 'John', but one 'i' is sufficient for our Arkwright!).
