Free'ing up memory....?

Postby Tom B » Sun Oct 05, 2008 12:19 am

..trying to open large files on a CD to copy them across to an application, and was getting on fine, and now I can't open any of the files on the cd - computer's not responding and I keep having to reboot. I think the problem might be the amount of information in the 'live' memory, but can't seem to work out how to clear it....using windows xp professional.....??!

Might actually be the CD and the drive is having a problem reading the info. That can cause the computer to lock up.

Malky - thanks. I transferred disk to desktop, and copied the files one by one - so got there in the end.

thanks
