I have enabled the feature on the board for you to upload Avatars to your profile from your PC.

Go to your profile and near the bottom you will be able to add your avatar.

Remeber the image size must be less than 101 x 101

I meant to say you can find hundreds of avatars on the web - just search for Avatars, here

It is the ability to put a wee picture on your posting.

Log On

Select Profile (top centre of page along with other options)

Scroll down to the bottom of your profile until you come to

Avatar control panel

Displays a small graphic image below your details in posts. Only one image can be displayed at a time, its width can be no greater than 100 pixels, the height no greater than 100 pixels, and the file size no more than 6 KB. Current Image

Use Upload Avatar from your machine: to browse the hard disk of your PC (c:\) and select the image you wish to be displayed as your AVATAR beside your name when you post. You'll see mine to the left.

Of course life is made much easier by finding an image first and having it on your PC. See the previous posting where I put a link to 1000s of possible Avatars. 8)

Good luck!

I have some avatars I would like to use, But I am finding it hard to keep the size below 6kb and still have them look good.

Is there any way to load larger than 6kb ?

From an external source Michael I believe.

Does it block ones over 6kb?

The problem is too many large avatars mean it will be slow for pages to load to people who use dial-up in the likes of Southend and Carradale...no there is an idea!

I use http://www.boomspeed.com/ to store my avatar then directly link it to the site (I think or its the only forums I don't use it). But I think they make people pay for that now. Also try http://www.imagebucket.com/ I think that is another place to store photographs online.
