Wifi Booster

Postby Bonnie Lass » Sat Aug 20, 2011 2:28 pm

I'm currently trying to find a way of boosting a Wifi signal to an adjoining property without using wires or cables. The hub is too far away for the signal to go through, I wondered if I plugged something into a socket on one side of the wall (compatible with the hub) it would bounce the signal through a thinner wall, and/or place a receiver on the other side of the wall to pick up the transmitted signal from the secondary device - any ideas? :@

look on line for boosters, they should work well as long as no trees in the way. I did it easily for about 300 ft with good signal

Thanks MRP; bought a Ubiquiti Bullet booster, set up was easy as it used the same configured as my setup - all I had to do was add a name and password. Would recommend MSDistribution to anyone, very helpful indeed. http://www.msdist.co.uk/
