The badge on The Stigs Shoulder

Have your say....

Clarkson was tremendous, pretending not to know who Schumacher was--"What was your name before you were called "The Stig""

There was only one way that Ferrari were going to allow that beast of a motor, costing a million quid, onto Top Gear, getting hammered round that airfield---and that was if Schumacher was driving it. Nice wee play on the Stig thing though. I was very nearly taken in.

"Some say...that he taught the Stig to drive.."

p.s this should be on Films, Music,TV etc etc threads

I put it in this thread because it was only about the badge thing at the time.

Shu can't be the stig anyway.

I doubt the real Stig would be a F1 driver, if anything it would be a touring car driver. There is a big difference between an F1 car and sports cars on Top Gear, he cant be amazing at both I'm sure  . Also, Shu's ''in and out the cones'' lap type thing that they showed near the end of the show wasn't very impressive. At that point, Clarckson speculated the Micheal may not be the real Stig.

Its an interesting one.

The real Identity will never be revealed because they will have to drop the whole ''some say'' and ''The Stig'' act which would just be no fun at all.

Nelson. :!:

Don't you think this was just pretence, i.e like everything else on that daft programme, it was made up!

Some say that he broke the land speed record on Brenda's iron sledge. Please don't call him Reg, it's not his name.

Personally, I think it is more than likely he was a F1 driver seeing that all the previous ones have been exactly that!

Actually, the real identity of The Stig is widely believed to be Ben Collins, a stunt driver who acted as a double for Daniel Craig in the driving scenes in the Bond film, Quantum of Solace. Who actually cares who the Stig is anyway? He's obviously a talented racing driver so why do we need to know what he looks like? Keep the mystery, I say, especially if it's Ionns!

AND, I've just realised that Stig is gits backwards. That must mean that Clarkson et al just take it in turn to be backward gits!!!!!!

Malky

The same logo that is on the Brawn GP and Force India drivers and pit teams overalls.

Agreed Rab.

There is not just one Stig.
One person who dons the white helmet and overalls is F1 driver Heikki Kovalainen.

The driver used most often as the Stig is Ben Collins.

With the Rockingham Oval on my doorstep, and a member of family in the management team,I have known the Stigs identity for a long time.

I know it is off topic but......thinking about hidden identities made me wonder about Nelson 1995.His spelling and punctuation has reached an amazingly high level. 8) WC1 must be very proud of his English Department. 8)

Unless ofcourse he(she) is hiding behind a false identity. :@ I wonder who it could be :?:

Please excuse any mistakes in my grammar and punctuation,as it has been a long time since I was in school. 8)
