Iron Maiden

Have your say....

Iron Maiden

I had a surreal experience in class today. I was introducing the poem The Rime of the Ancient Mariner when one of my 'most uninterested in literature' boys suddenly began quoting large chunks of it! To say I was flabbergasted is an understatement but he then revealed he is a big Iron Maiden fan and has a classic album with this poem set to music. The kids were more than happy to study it if I let them hear the track afterwards! Good old Iron Maiden, I say!!!! :D

Blow away the dreams that break your heart
Blow away the lies that leave you nothing but lost and brokenhearted

I couldn't make out a word of it at the beginning but the music's great! I love the middle bit too.
And is that a picture of the front of your house Sheik?
