Has anyone heard it yet? Is it worth buying? Are they going on tour?
Ah, the memory of Summer 1986, Ibrox Park :D

Hi GG - I was at Ibrox too....What a day :D.... I just can't believe it was 1986 :<> !! Haven't heard the new album. I know they are playing Edinburgh Castle on 18th July but not sure if that is a one off or part of a national tour.

I was also at Ibrox in '86,I though Simple Minds were brilliant , The Waterboys , however produced an even better set ?
I haven't heard the new album yet , though alll the reviews are good.
I think they are touring '' Arenas '' at the end of the year , as they did last year. This time Deacon Blue are not with them I think it is O M D. ( Orchestral Manouvers In The Dark ).

Thanks for all that but on the long journey up to Scotland on Friday, Mr Govangirl bought the album! Yes Frosty, I also went to the Simple Minds concert at Milton Keynes that year and thought the Waterboys were the best thing! Funny though, I don't remember them at Ibrox :@

Was at Ibrox for the gig as well, along with the famous Sheik yer archie :D cracking gig, Waterboys were excellent and Hipsway and In Tua Nuawere good as well, Cult were poor though

A wee reminder of the gig

2003, Margate Winter Gardens. Absolutely brilliant to see them in a small venue. :D You only have to hear the first few opening beats of On the Waterfront . . .

Good clip AA - strange to see Ibrox so full in them days!

I saw Simple Minds at the Carling Academy a year or so ago and though they were good.
Should Scotland be an Independent country?

Yes, I believe Scotland is a country and should therefore govern itself.
No, Scotland is not a country it is simply part of the UK and should therefore be governed from London.
