Songs from 2009

Early in the year so hopefully there should be a few throughout the year that people like. Heard this one the other day on the radio...

I like Jason Mraz, his songs are catchy. He's from my hometown, too!

& can I just say that there seems to be a real 'Scottish invasion' with regard to music in the US lately (really starting last year)?! You guys are all over our air waves =)
I'm liking Frightened Rabbit a lot (they played in town the other night but I couldn't make it :( )
have been sucked into 'Geraldine' by Glasvegas
& 'Mistress Mabel' by the Fratellis

oh, there are more but those are who come to mind at the moment...
Suppose they held a war and nobody came?

I used to think that too Dr but the more I listened, the more I liked it and now I love them.

Another group that's got a new album out now (recorded in the Govan Town Hall btw) is Franz Ferdinand. Honestly, who buys this rubbish? Or are they popular up there? Their latest record is just a rip-off of their first one which was a rip-off of Trampled Underfoot in the first place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm w/GG, the more I hear, the more I like. I was just a little put off by the fact that they kinda fell into music & a band...they aren't 'life-long, die-hard' musicians...but there's a beginning for everything, I suppose, so I'll keep listening!
Franz Ferdinand - know the name but don't think I've heard any of their music, yet? Sounds like they're not worth my time, tho?!

& I'm still warming up to the Fratellis, I haven't heard enough from them to decide yet. Mistress Mabel was my 1st of theirs & it certainly caught my ear!

Fleet Foxes...excellent, imo!

the fratellis, their songs are the first pick for producers of football programmes and stuff to have playing in the background while the presenter talks about 'whats coming up on the show!' mainly because the songs are boring and sound like someone like me could play the songs on guitar :P ...

as for franz, i'm looking forward to their new album. (if i can afford it  ) the first album was deadly, the second wasnt so good but still had some good tunes on it so it'll be interesting to see how this one turns out.

People keep recommending The Fleet Foxes to me and I've been TRYING to like it. Maybe I need to hear more of it so I'll try it again this week.

Just happened to catch Franz Ferdinand's Ulysses & realize I have heard that one, but it obviously didn't get my attention before...however, I AM open to hearing more from them...
