Here is a few for ya?

''Walking across the siting room , I turn the television off.....''
''Hello , is there anybody in there , just nod if you can hear me....''
''We all came out to Montereax , on the lake Geneva shoreline...''
''Theres a man I meet , walks up our street...''
''You've done it all , you've broken every code....''

See if you can sing the tune as you read them , no prices for naming the Bands and/or singers as it is only for fun.
Best of luck.

100% howls. well done.
All memorable to me as I can remember hearing them for the first time and bieng able to see the bands play them live, apart from Genesis ( last time Genesis played Suppers live I had tickets for the concert but P&O decided that I had to go to Sydney. so I missed out ).

"There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold, and she's buying a stairway to heaven"

"On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair"

"You were working as a waitress in a cocktail bar when I met you"

"Words are flying out like endless rain into a paper cup
They slither while they pass
They slip away across the universe"

"Once upon a time you dressed so fine
You threw the bums a dime in your prime, didn't you?
People'd call, say, beware doll, you're bound to fall
You thought they were all kiddin' you"

ok. I'm more than willing to be obvious with this one:

"Mull of kintyre
Oh mist rolling in from the sea,
My desire is always to be here
Oh mull of kintyre"

this is still...& always will be...an all time favorite opening line for me :D

I can`t sing,I ain`t pretty and my legs are thin.
Don`t ask me what I think of you,
I might not give the answer that you want me to."

Predictable prick. That's Looking Glass.

Packed and all eyes turned in
No one to see on the quay, no one waving for me
just the shoreline receding
ticket in my hand and thinking wish i didn't hand it in

or

The fiends have gagged a generation of pacified fools
Bound by our greed a nation enslaved as corporate tools.
Arise and RAZE the legacy of their lies
To realize that this in itself is an ascension
Towards the day we revolt.
