From Crowdie and Cream ... to Angus MacVicar

I don’t know if anyone has been watching “Crowdie and Cream”, or “Gruth ‘is Uachdar” to give it its proper Gaelic name, on BBC4 over recent weeks. If you missed any it is on i-player, and well worth watching. It is autobiographical, and relates the story of Finlay J MacDonald’s upbringing on South Harris.

It prompted me to check out what was ‘out there’ about Finlay J, and so I googled, as you do. I was interested to uncover this interview of Angus MacVicar, in conversation with Finlay. To hear it you need to log onto the Caledonian University web-site, which takes no time, and is free. Not a long interview, but interesting for folk who remember Angus, and Jean.
