Thank goodness Diana has gone! I do not doubt that she can sing - but why o why does she have to do that warbling on practically every word. Originally thought it was quirky but ultimately it became annoying!

Really dont know how it will go next week. Will just need to wait and see, each act has something that will appeal to different groups of the public.

Who do you all think will win :?:

I don't know who will win, but in my opinion, Alexandra should. I don't think that anyone is even close to her.

But different folk have differing opinions.

I agree totally with you Rainbowsprite: quirky to begin with, the most annoying screeching in the last few weeks, destroying every song she tackled.
I can see Alexandria has the most amazing talent but for me, JLS should win. There's a niche in the market for them - young, good-looking guys who have great harmonies and I think a better future. Do we need another Leona Lewis? It's going to be a close thing though. As for Eoghan . . . oh dear, I read that Ireland are voting to get an Irish winner (well, Scotland did it with Michelle McManus) but he should not, NOT be in the final.
I'm going to have to record it as going off to Calais for a day trip so mustn't log in here before I actually get to watch it.

Lucky you Govangirl! Are you off to stock up on the vino for Christmas?
I wasn't a huge supporter of Alexandra to begin with mainly because of her similarities to Leona but in the last few weeks she really has been in a different league to the others! I really like JLS too! Eoghan has to go out first....surely
Poor wee love was in a right old state last night when Diana went out - he had me in bits too!!
I CANNOT bear Amazing Grace but how good were El Divo last night!! :D

Yep, a bootful plus a few more boxes in the back seats should do me to the New Year! We are going for my birthday to this great restaurant we know there.

Yes, Il Divo had me in tears! I was decorating one of the trees at the time (Mr Govangirl and middle son drove up to Glasgow for the weekend to deliver the pressies and get their Christmas present of Hospitality ticket for Rangers) so it somehow made it more appropriate to burst into tears when you're putting up the decorations. Or maybe it was the wine . . . Anyway, I really enjoyed the Results Show as me and the wee one snuggled up on the sofa with a huge bowl of popcorn, booing Diana and laughing at Eoghan (sorry, Ags, it was too funny!) Surely even Cowell doesn't want him to win? :?

At last, she`s gone! JLS to win, PLEASE, they were definitely the act of the night. I didn`t like any of the first songs, but JLS`s was the best. Liked Eoghan`s second song, and although I usually like Alexandra I didn`t like either of her songs, so therefore it spoiled my enjoyment of her performance.

I just saw the end of the news this morning before heading to work. What happened with JLS last night? Was there a crush or just a much larger crowd than they had anticipated?

Alexandra is a worthy winner alright, but I`m still disappointed that JLS didn`t win, I absolutely LOVED their rendering of Hallelujah, Aston has a fantastic voice range, and even though they didn`t win, I think they`ll still do well for themselves.
