That's a big list there Horse. I take it the missing ones are the ones you've already seen? :D

What are the missing ones? Back To The Future? I've seen all three of them. There's another list of films I need to watch again, No Country For Old Men is in that list, as is Chinatown and Mulholland Drive. Mulholland Drive is bizarre enough for me though, I don't know if my mind could handle any other David Lynch films, except the Straight Story, for it is a straight story. Already seen The Lost Highway, whooosh right over my head.

Oh and I forgot - To Kill a Mockingbird, the most perfect adaptation of a novel, EVER.

Off the top off my head you could also add
Lost in Translation
Amores Perros
Dead Man
Dark Star
Spirited Away
Jacob's Ladder
The Killer
The Twilight Samurai
Y Tu Mama Tambien
Bound
City of God
Army of Darkness

There's lots more but that's all I can think of at the moment :D

Good to see Sling Blade in your list Horse.

Billy Bob Thornton should have won the Oscar that year.

Lucas Black should have at least been nominated as best supporting actor.

Still find it hard to believe that is Dwight Yoakam as the abusive boyfriend.

I hired it last week but didn't get a chance to watch it. (Sling Blade)
I've seen a lot of the films on the two lists from Malky and Govangirl, but the ones I've not seen are welcome additions.
I'm sure I've seen To Kill A Mockingbird because we read it at school at some point. Trapper has Ciudad de Deus (I'm pretentious, I'll give it the proper name  ) and I want to borrow it again. The director went on to do The Constant Gardener which is also one of my favourite films. I watched Citizen Kane the other day. It's good but the effect is always somewhat diminished when you've heard so much about a film and when that film is nearly 70 years old and everything in it has been copied so much since. The only one I wouldn't want to watch again would be Jacob's Ladder, it scared the shite oota me!!

Must sees:

Kadosh (Israel)
Xiu Xiu the Sent Down Girl (China)
Best in Show (one of my favorite movies and even better on second and third watching...same people who did Spinal Tap)
Being There

I've seen about 50% of your list.. good list.

I knew about Best In Show, but I'd forgotten it. As I say any other ideas are most welcomed.

I couldn't remember it's proper name

Now that is some scary shit, isn't it !! I had the DVD for 3 months before I could actually watch it as I remembered the impact of it when I saw it years ago.

I must watch some movies again - I've been so busy I haven't had the time to sit down and watch a DVD for ages. I've currently got the following sitting there unwatched.
Volver
The Piano Tuner of Earthquakes
The Godfather Boxset
American Graffiti
Seven Swords
