SUPERB!! Do you have a hotline to the Boss Govangirl  :D
Maybe you could tell him that Mr Ags has an even bigger birthday than me next year (more partying) and a tour would just be fantastic for the auld fla's 50th!! And while you're at it tell him it's really high time he played in Scotland again
A new album will cheer up January for us!

I totally agree Ags, surely he will play Scotland this time? I love the bonus track that was sent for Halloween so that's good it's on it. I just think it's too long to wait and would better if it was released for Christmas.

And a hotline to the Boss? I'd never be off it Ags!!!!

I must be really thick but no matter how hard I try, I can't work out what SYE means, sorry! Whatever though, if my pal Bruce plays Scotland, I'll be there! :D

hopefully so will he :) .... you know how these things work as musicans get older ... there'll be about 3 alternative E-Street bands (with a former member each) doing the rounds playing dinner dances advertised in the Sunday Mail ...

£3.73, I can bet you that amount with a few 0s at the end that THAT will never happen! And you're not picking on Daily Mail readers are you? That's not allowed. :|

not a paper I read ... so I wouldn't like to comment.

However, if it does it's editorials via page 3 ... then aye. consider yourself picked on !!! :)

(you know the thing ... "our 34D stunner, Carly from Essex, thinks that the Chancellor should drop the base rate of tax 0.5% ....etc etc")

However, I digress .....

Had to think myself there......shouldn't post whilst sipping the white stuff.....It was short for Sheik Yer Erse!! Will stick to "sheik" next time :D
Every time Iain goes to a concert - and the last twice when I have been with him - he/we have ended up beside Scottish folk who have had to travel a huge distance to see the great man! Wonder what he has against this lovely country!
He plays Belfast and Dublin so why not Glasgow and/or Edinburgh?

Anyone watch Bruce Springsteen in Roy Orbison's backing band tonight ?

"Roy Orbison and Friends, A Black and White Night " was shown on BBC4 at the ungodly hour or of 12.35 this morning.

The special consisted of a performance of many of Orbison's hits at the Ambassador Hotel's Coconut Grove nightclub in Los Angeles, taped on September 30.1987.
On stage as part of his backing band for the night were Bruce Springsteen, Tom Waits, Elvis Costello, Jackson Browne, J.D. Souther, Steven Soles. Singing the female background vocals were K.D.Lang, Jennifer Warnes, and Bonnie Raitt.
