Sheik, I started watching this, got really excited by the sheer energy of Bruce in just the first minute, screamed when he dropped on his knees (although I did have a wee concern about his 'bits' getting damaged! :<> ) and then it all went off and a notice came up saying it was no longer available due to a copyright claim! I'm totally gutted - it looked fabulous!

No way does this look like a man who's 60 next year!

He started with 10th Avenue Freeze Out - the place was jumping. Noticed the Miami Horns were back as well

When the change was made uptown and the Big Man joined the band

Just been listening to his latest album. Hmmmmm....Outlaw Pete was alright I suppose, but a lot of it was the usual dirge I've come to expect from him. Sorry, not a big fan. Born In The USA (album)was good, Blinded By The Light was brilliant, but apart from that....nah, a vastly over-rated guy.
I shall now don my tin hat and crawl into my air-raid shelter....

You're perfectly entitled to your own opinion Martin. Nothing wrong with that

Saw The Wrestler last week, excellent film and old Philip Andre is excellent in it. Bit disappointed with the song though. Sounds like Ghost of Tom Joad.

This album was written (correct me if I'm wrong) around the time he did the "Magic" album. I think a few of the songs have similarities but I suppose when you have written as many songs as this guy has that is bound to happen.
Iain heard the end of the Andrew Marr show this morning and Harvey Goldsmith promoters were saying how glad they were that he was confirmed for a u.k date. There's nothing on the website - is it Glastonbury??
I see from www.brucespringsteen.net there has been a bit of a "to do" with Ticketmaster over the sale of tickets this week.

Ags, it has just been confirmed that he is headlining the Hard Rock Calling event this year at Hyde Park! The tickets go on sale at 9 o'clock TOMORROW MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Right, I need to go and think of a way to sneak out of Assembly . . .

Tickets for Sunday 28 June - on sale Friday at 09:00!

Hard Rock International has announced tickets for Sunday at Hard Rock Calling 2009, with one of the biggest rock acts in the world!

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band headline at Hyde Park on Sunday 28 June, with main support so far coming from multi-million album selling rockers The Dave Matthews Band. Many more acts will be confirmed soon.

Tickets for the Saturday 27 June are yet to go on sale, but if previous artists The Police, Eric Clapton, Aerosmith, Peter Gabriel, Crowded House and lots more are anything to go by, the weekend event is set to be one of the best for live music this summer.

Tickets will sell fast - get yours from Friday at 09:00 here!

I got this e-mail from Ticketmaster: http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/event/220 ... 1A?dma_id=

If I wasn't going to the hairdressers I would offer to be online and on the phone for you!! I'm sure you can manage a wee skive from assembly (NOT THAT I WOULD EVER DREAM ON DOING THAT MYSELF  )
Sounds excellent! Don't think I can justify being away 3 weekends in a row though
Good luck!! :D

Glad to say I managed to get my tickets and really excited at the thought of seeing the Great Man again. Don't know how I missed it but he's also headlining Glastonbury on the Saturday night, the first festival he's ever done outside of the US. The reason I came across this was because of the so-called furore over his appearance at Glastonbury  :? :<> :@
