Yes, very moving indeed. Did you know they had shot a scene where Andy finds the dead bird in the prison grounds but they didn't include it? Shame, I think that scene would have added something..... the symbolism of the freedom thing and all that.

My daughter and I had a wee film night last night at home and I introduced her to the film 'Pay it Back'. Our tear ducts were in overdrive and that scene at the end where all the lights of the cars come up the drive? Well, my daughter and I were still crying when we went to bed later. What a tearjerker!!!!!

And I also watched one of my top three films last week: City of Angels with the gorgeous Nicholas Cage. And THAT made me weep buckets!!!!!!!!!

Mmm, watched both of those films a number of years ago. Very moving indeed. It's what wet sunday afternoons were made for. :(

OMG I recall going to see a double feature when I was younger - Imitation of Life and Madame X (the moment at the end when her son leads her out and doesn't know it's his mother). I cried for weeks

After she dies the son turns to his father and asks, 'do you think she was ever loved'. Dad replies 'I'm sure she was always loved' Too much......

I wouldnt really know much about that, contrary to some scurrilous rumours, but he couldve done with getting a better haircut in national treasure 2. That do' was pretty sad.

I have just watched A Night to Remember, the original (and much better) film about the Titanic. The bit near the end where the band stay and play 'Nearer My God, to Thee' has just given me a richt sore heid with the amount of greetin' I've done!!!!

Because I greet at absolutely everything I have just been reading this thread with interest until I watched Armageddon again last night...the bit where Harry takes the place of AJ and tells him to look after Grace.....then just as the sobbing stops AJ and Grace are reunited.....and off I go again.....what a state
