On this day a monumental album is released.

It is by the biggest selling rock band of the 90's, and it is their eighth studio album.

It is also eponymous.

Ahh, Pearl Jam. I take it some people don't like them, but I always have..

They were the biggest selling band?

Linkin Park Hybrid Theory was the biggest selling CD of the decade - 16 million sales

And the Backstreet boys have sold 87 million albums.. your point is?

Wonder where we can see a list of album sales. Dave Matthews Band would be up there in the gadzillions, except he allows his music to be given away. He "allows audiotaping at almost every live performance." Their only proviso is that the music be distributed for free and not for profit. One of my all time favorite bands.

Pearl Jam is definitely on my list of favorite 90s bands.

So, Cold.. put up your dukes!

Mr. Ed, The Talking Horse

A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And no one can talk to a horse of course
That is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mister Ed.

Go right to the source and ask the horse
He’ll give you the answer that you’ll endorse.
He’s always on a steady course.
Talk to Mister Ed.

People yakkity yak a streak and waste your time of day
But Mr. Ed will never speak unless he has something to say

A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And this one’ll talk ‘til his voice is hoarse.
You never heard of a talking horse?

Well listen to this: "I'm Mister Ed."

Aye Pearl Jam are naw bad but not in the top 3 90's groups IMHO.

Not as good as Faith No More, Guns n Roses or early Manic Street Preachers.

And I dunno where that Linkin Park bit came from, I just saw it on the telly earlier that day and thought it fitted nicely with the topic.

Consider guns drawn.

Stretching a bit for GNR and the 90s - what a waste of a great band.

but still was Use Your Illusion not a 90's album? So therefore they can be.
