Help with a song title please
Posted: Sun Mar 10, 2013 7:56 amOver forty years ago when we were living in the one room in Gib I often used to go to sleep listening to BFBS on my parent’s radio, quietly playing in the background.
One night I remember hearing a song, it must have been just as I was dozing off as I can only remember the one line. I’m pretty sure it was a Scots folk song, possibly.
“The son he brought an English lord for the bonnie……” and that’s all I can remember.
Can anyone help me with this ? It’s bugged me for a long time.
