Being a massive Manfred Mann fan their version of Joe South's "Untie Me" is still one of my favourites. It was an album track for the Manfreds, and a chart entry for The Tams.

I know my Summer'll never come
I know I'll cry until my dying day has come
Let the Winter roll along
I've got nothing left but song

Nice one Bill, I like that. I do love Manfred Mann, I have most of his stuff, Mighty Garvey being my favourite album. He lost his way for a while but then (in my eyes) redeemed himself with the Angel Station album and Blinded By The Light, one of my all time favourite tracks. Before the Springsteen Mafia jump on me, I also love the totally different original.
I like what Paul Jones went on to do with The Blues Band and always try to listen to his show on a Monday night.
I believe his record High Times was once voted best record of the Sixties on Sounds Of The Sixties although I would dispute that, there was too much wonderful music that came out then to name any one track as the best.
I'll stop now coz I'm waffling again.
Ouch !
