Great Holiday Movies

"The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe"
If you like fantasy and enjoyed "The Lord of the Rings" you will like this show. The acting was great. I'm glad they did credit to C.S. Lewis.

"King Kong" Loved the ape!! Naiomi Watts was perfect in the part. It starts out a little slow, giving you background, but once they hit the island it is fantastic. Great prehistoric action- better than Jurassic Park.

"Rumor Has It...." Kevin Costner, Shirley MacLaine and Jennifer Aniston put on a good show. Some might deem it a 'Chick Flick', but I really enjoyed it. Made me go out and rent the old movie "The Graduate".

Jarhead looks quality.

My friend went to see King Kong, first thing he said when he came out was "Five quid, 3 hours and we never even got to see his five foot dong"

Took a 7-year-old to both those movies in the last couple of days. She loved both, and interestingly enough, although King Kong is 3 hours, she was engrossed. Between the two I have to say I liked King Kong the best. Did you catch the one line about Faye Wray? When the original actress bowed out of the movie, they needed a replacement and suggested Faye Wray. He was told that she was already contracted to make another movie with RKO.

Ever read C.S. Lewis' The Great Divorce, Dorian?

Well... to each his own  I kind'a liked the ape's eyes, myself

I didn't catch that line, Bobbie- shoot. I'm sure we'll be renting it sometime.

I read 'The Great Divorce' years ago. Its time I reread it. It was an interesting debate of the deservers of hell and those deserving heaven. One character I do remember was the Preacher MacDonald, one of the spirits, trying to convince the ghosts to remain in heaven.

Stone Cold, I think he is confusing King Kong with the yet to be made porno flick of similar name.
