"No Mans Land" by G.M.Ford is another in the Frank Corso series of high paced action thrillers. The body count mounts nicely as the escaped convicts cross America.

"The Watchman" from Robert Crias continues the Elvis Cole/Joe Pike series.I have read a few of these now and would recommend them all.

Just finished John Sandford's Phantom Prey. This is another in the Prey series with Lucas Davenport as the main character.
Sandford knows how to keep the reader hooked, even though this is the 17th in the series there is no let up in his storylines.

Blood Brother by J.A.Kerley is centered on homicide detective Carson Ryder of the Alabama P.D.This is the first book I have read by this author, and it was certainly up with the top authors of this genre.

Well, Compulsion, by Jonathan Kellerman, was every bit as good as I expected it to be. Am now just about to start on Keeping the Dead, by Tess Gerritsen.

Black River is another in the Frank Corso series by G.M.Ford.If you haven't read any of his books, and you see one on the shelf, I'm sure you will not be disappointed if you give it a try.

Well, as usual, Tess Gerritsen didn`t disappoint, Keeping the Dead was as good as I expected it to be, am now reading Alone, by Lisa Gardner, bit slow at the moment, maybe it`ll pick up.

Just read Karin Slaughter's Martin Misunderstood.
This is nothing like Karin's other books, it's like a short story you would read in a magazine. This story should have been in a compilation of short stories because on its own it is not good value for money, but seeing as I was given it F.O.C.I can not complain.

Just Finished "A Life Decoded: My Genome: My Life" by J Craig Venter. It's the autobiography of the guy who first mapped the human genome. It's a very good read, as he comes across as a real person and not some brainiac. Not full of too much technical mumbo jumbo either.
OOH did they knock down McCaigs folly.....

Stranger in Paradise by Robert B.Parker is the sixth of seven in the Jesse Stone series.Stone is an ex L.A. cop who is now the police chief in the town of Paradise Massachusetts.

This is the first I have read by Parker, who is described on the book jacket as "the grand master of American crime".Not surprising as when Googled him I found he is in his 70s,and has written about one book for every year he has lived.
The story was excellent, and I hope to find more of his in the future. In many ways I was reminded of James Patterson.
