Fabio Capello has announced an unchanged team to face Algeria on Friday.

They arent good enough, they have absolutely no balance or fluidity. Not taking Downing was a bit of a mistake as well.

Absolutely, no shape or balance whatsoever. Players on £60,000 a week and a £6m super-coach and this is what they produce  England's coming home, they're coming . . .

if they can't beat that hopeless, clueless shower then Algeria don't deserve to go through.

haha, very good Govangirl!

You know, I dont think Wayne Rooney really IS one of the best players in the world

Actually, is there not a bit of the Ronaldo World Cup Final '98 about him?
there surely is something the matter with him........from his almost unbelievably poor play to his sullen and sulking demeanor on the pitch to his outburst at the Engurland fans as he trooped off at the end.

And the manager, he is beginning to look and sound like some kind of raving loony......how many millions does he get paid for that? any qualified coach with a football brain would have picked the exact same players and what ever tactics and formation he employed could not be any worse that Capello's

what has happened to Joe Cole?

Before the World Cup started it emerged that him and Chelsea were parting company under circumstances that will "come out in the wash".

Watching England 1st half last night they were so narrow and crying out for the width and pace that defoe brought in the last 10 mins.

Dont understand it at all

Well, it looks like this World Cup is looking more and more like the last World War: France surrendering early, the Americans coming in at the last minute and the Brits fighting Germany!

At least Shearer and Lineker are English so I can understand their passion. Hansen on the other hand played for Scotland and both Lawrenson and Townsend played for the Irish Republic but still constantly use "we" and "us" to talk about England.

Hansen & Lawrenson have lived at Royal Birkdale near Southport for many years, so they are honorary English!
