Personally, I think it should be a straight red card.
Also, in the time it takes for all the dispute over the alleged dive to be resolved, a 4th official could have watched the incident from several different angles to come to a definitive decision.
I think that a yellow card is enough punishment. This was always going to happen this weekend and in a way i feel a bit sorry for Mcgeady (honest). When i saw it at first i thought the ref had made a hash of it but after replays he actually made a very good call although if the ref was being consistent then Killen should have been yellow carded late in 2nd half for a more blatant dive.
Think a lot has to be put on how the player themselves react. Definatly if a player is claiming for the foul and he is trying to con the ref then a booking is order. But surley players must be able to protect themselves from any potential impact without the fear of getting booked.
Wenger has had an interesting week and I wonder if we will hear from him regarding this or maybe he'll be too occupied after yesterdays eventful game.
Ok it was a dive but hey you must admit it was a good one .Everybody does it if they get the chance and celtic are no exception .The celtic v st mirren games comes to mind when yer man nakamura dropped like a stone and won a free kick which resulted in them winning 1-0
