Aye and ye forgot to mention the shame caldwell heaped on his country .The whole football world is laughing at us .Marshall in goal was as good as another man short.

I agree Caldwell only had his self to blame for getting sent off and makes leaving Weir out of the squad as just plain DAFT and as for giving Marshall the goalies jersey ahead of Alexander only reinforces the view amongst Rangers fans that Burley has a problem putting Rangers players in the team . I think this campaign is now dead unless we get rid of Burley and Butcher , get a new manager in NOW and hopefully the players and the fans get a boost and we get those prized 6 points that we need but I think that wont happen and Burley will be in charge and we will have NO CHANCE OF GETTING to the getting to the world cup...

Aye, cos that was a right team of world beaters that we had a few years ago. I very much doubt the football world cares about Norway vs Scotland.

Wont argue with that. I just dont like this cliche that the Scots are a laughing stock. To be a laughing stock, you have to have been good in the first place and you never were, so no, Scotland arent a laughing stock, theyre just pish.

Its not just about being good or bad .It's all about pride and being able to walk that wee bit taller .Dont know where you come from but judging by your user name and the flag you fly as your avatar i would bet you are not scottish. If that is the case then who the hell are you to call us pish.

As Rab C. said we might be pish but we are the best pish in the WORLD.

the turning point in the game was the sending off,we played well up till then, and the lack of discipline cost us dear it could have very easily been 6 with the goal that had crossed the line, and the penalty claim. And Davie Weir woudnt have made any difference,he`s 40 yr old for god sake.
We have went back the way big time,2 years ago we were a dodgy freekick away from qualifying 2nd in a group which had the world champions, runner up and world cup quarter finalists.Ive seen all this sh*** for the last 35 years. We havent got one player of quality in any position in Scotland. McLeish and Smith were right to bale out they seen this coming they have seen the future talent for Scotland which is nil.
But as a supporter i`ll be there supporting them in theyre last two games. You never know a wounded lion is a dangerous lion
bring them on

I think the biggest mistake was to setup a game in August, before your home league even has started. The Norwegian league has been running for a while, and even though they should all be professionals, I think it makes a difference over 90 minutes if you have a few games in your legs.
Why was it necessary for Scotland to play in August :@ (Remember how it went with the first game last summer as well). Scotland is in a group with only 5 teams, and in many groups with 6 teams there were only played friendly games that night.
Bad planning :!:
