I see everyone, even Gary Lineker, seems to be backing Spain to win the Euros this year, and Fernando Torres to be top scorer. Do these people not know that the English defences are sh**e? Torres never got more than 20 goals a season at Atletico, and he has to play a different way for Spain. I think hell get a few, but the top scorer will be someone else altogether, quite possibly Klose again. As for Spain, their defence is shocking, Puyol's had a poor season, Marchena and Albiol have been poor for Valencia and Juanito is 33 years old. Maybe they shouldve called Cuellar up after all. The only Spanish defender of any use is the right back Sergio Ramos. I say Spain to underacheive again. Reckon Croatia could do well, but wont win because of Eduardo being out, hes the only real goal poacher they have. I think Germany or Italy to win the tournament, probably Italy because they have the form strikers in Cassano, Toni, Del Piero and Borriello.

But if you reckon they are crap Juan will it really be an underachievement if they don't win it?

I'll go for Portugal to win it and reckon Romania will ensure that two from Holland, France and Italy miss out on the QFs, probably France & Holland.

Haha good point, well made. I reckon there could be a few shocks akin to the one you mention, maybe either Sweden or Spain losing out to Russia.
