But you are right, what a huge waste of energy. I did read they were planning to use huge solar panels to provide the power to cool the heat! but still, that energy could be used for something more productive. And the solar panels dont just appear out of thin air, they take a lot of energy to manufacture.

Our designers , plus two of our Directors ,are currently in Saudi. I'm sure they will pop across and do some ''Entertaining'' and introductions while they are over in the neighbourhood?
The other consideration , 4th Gen , is that the Stadia will be designed to be removed after the competion , so it wil be difficult to ensure their is some form of ''payback'' for the capital used to purchase the required plant!
The company I work for have been building plants that form ice banks during the cheapest electrical supply times for many years now.
These ice banks then melt , during the expensive electrical supply times , to provide cooling and cold water for the factory and production ,we also have sites ,situated in the far east ,producing ice banks for the supply of cold water to allow large cement projects to set correctly.
