We note a group of local residents in Campbeltown have started a campaign for the re-instatement of Dalintober beach, peir etc to its former glory and there will be an article in the Courier soon about this as well as posters around the town and surrounding area. Argyll FM are also supporting their efforts.

A Facebook group with over 800 members has started with lots of discussion on the subject. For those of you on Facebook the group can be found at https://www.facebook.com/groups/590679447621153/ - please join and show your support.

The recently formed committee have also confirmed there will be a beach clean on Saturday 17th August, meeting at 10.30am for a 11am start. Posters will be circulated soon with regards this. Remember to bring your own gloves

We are hoping regular updates will be posted on here too as not everyone has Facebook.

community should be very very proud of the folks that cleaned that beach up, a big thank you to them. As a child I almost drowned at that beach, then quickly lernt to swim at that beach. The community and the children of the community deserve that beach to be a nice, clean place to go within walking distance of any house in the town. Well done!!!!!!!

Great spread today in the Campbeltown Courier - thecommittee has been formed and all going well many things in place. We have a meeting on 21st of october at 7pm in the Community Centre which all are welcome - we need all youre support and help if possible hope to see a good turnout many thanks !!!!!
