D A B

Postby Dr Doob » Sun Mar 12, 2017 6:21 pm

Been away all week, when i turned on my Super DAB Radio/Alarm (which had never worked and gave me the choice between Radio Scotland and Radio 4 on FM) it made a strange sound and suddenly became active offering me the complete choice of all DAB stations.
When did we get DAB? coz we certainly didnt have it last weekend

Aye, but none of the DAB things we have worked untill yesterday. I thought that we just didnt get it because of where we are, regaurdless of what the "official sites" say. So have others been getting DAB for a while?

I've been getting DAB stations on the car radio for a year and a half. Reception gets a bit iffy in places as you go up the road, but it seems fine around the town itself. Unfortunately I don't have a DAB receiver in the house! If the local transmitter has been upgraded recently, could somebody also take a look at mobile phone reception? I'm fed up seeing adverts for 5G when we hardly get 2G down here.
