Kintyre End of March 2017 Any ferries?

I will be in Northern Ireland the end of March 2017. I was planning on taking 2 days of my week to visit Kintyre. However, the ferry does not run from N. Ireland to Campbeltown until April 16, 2017.

Is there any other way I can get to see Kintyre without it taking 8 hours of travel by ferry then plane from Glasgow to Campbeltown and repeat in one day?

Thanks for any advice. :)

Think the only way is you manage to arrange something locally with someone with a RIB. It's such a shame there is no option all year round when it is only 12 miles away.

You could look on the Ballycastle side, I think there is a few boats available for charter hire. It will all be dependent on the sea conditions as the North Channel can get pretty rough even on the best of days.

Thank you both for your advice. I ended up getting a plane from Belfast to Glasgow then a bus ride from Glasgow to Campbeltown. I couldn't get any of the ferry services to respond to emails asking about private charters. I think I found the best way since I get to see a lot of Scotland on my 5 hour bus tour.
