Campbeltown's Christmas Tree

A fine big Christmas tree on the roundabout this year, but a week on from the big switch-on it's still in the dark tonight. Anyone know hoot's heppnin?

Update, Monday 5th December. About 25% of the tree now has lights on. But at least it's the 25% that faces up Main Street.

Update Tuesday 6th. Tree now more or less completely lit (one fairly big space in the part facing the Royal Hotel).

You can rely on me Bill. What interests me about the whole Christmas lights fiasco this year has been the failure of Argyll and Bute Council to have any involvement, even after it became clear that it was becoming a fiasco. This ties in with another event I was involved with quite directly and A&BC, who took the lead on it in the past, were conspicuous by their complete absence this year. What is the point of having a council that washes its hands of community involvement?
