Aqualibrium opens new gym and fitness studio

There was excitement amongst fitness fans in Campbeltown last week as Aqualibrium opened the doors to its newly revamped, extended gym and fitness studio.

The new gym is more than double the size of the centre’s previous one and takes up occupancy in the kitchen and café area of what was once Mussel Ebb Bistro.

The old gym has been transformed into a fitness studio which can be used for a wide variety of classes.
Argyll and Bute Council’s Policy Lead for Community and Culture, Councillor Robin Currie said: “The new gym in Aqualibrium boasts beautiful views over Campbeltown Loch and the people of Kintyre are extremely lucky to have such a wonderful facility right on their doorstep.

“The number of people using council leisure centres has risen above our expectations and I expect that the figures for Campbeltown will continue to soar thanks to this wonderful new fitness area.”
