I'm very sad to hear it. Have only dropped in occasionally when passing over the years but they have always been most courteous and helpful. Alas this is the way things are going.

We`ve only shopped there a few times, obviously, when on holiday at Muasdale, but it`s a great little shop, plenty of choice in goods, and friendly service from really nice people. If the shop does carry on, let`s hope the next owners are as good.

It will be sad if they can't get a buyer for the stores. Shopped there many times. But then again, I remember drinking at the Muasdale Inn back in the day.

That was before we started going, we were told where the Muasdale Inn used to be though.

It is indeed sad news to see this little gem of a shop close. Superbly run shop which had an excellent selection of goods. Used the shop since I was a wee kid on holiday in Mausdale and over the years. Really sad to see it close but happy retirement to Iain and Margaret - well deserved!

Only time I was ever in the shop ,or the inn, was when I was doing the deliveries on the Dunsade lorry with Charlie Morrison and Ian Forshaw way back in the 60's, probably 67.

The above link will take you to a previous post from 10 years ago that shows a couple of photographs taken inside the inn.
