How sad it is to see that the White Hart Hotel has closed with management saying lack of bookings for accommodation was one of the main factors. Lots of fond memories for a lot of people. Lets hope it is sold soon and things turn round.

We met the Shaw brothers in the White Hart bar in the mid 70's while on holiday. They were from Glasgow where their father had a restaurant in the west end. The elder brother was an artist and had come down to paint Paul and Linda's portrait . So sad to hear that it has closed . The town had a great pub crawl in the 70's. Hope it reopens soon.

Happy days! Where else could you hide in the corner, but the White Hart, Argyll Public Bar and the Ailsa. Pity young folks nowadays who cant get served even if they look 50 I can still smell and taste the atmosphere
Shame the White Hart is closed. Had parties of at least 30 adults and kids in the last week looking for somewhere to go to watch the football, have a pint, something to eat.
Where else can you send parties like this in town? Just so we know for future recommendations... Said the Black Sheep/Whisky Macs
