I have recently had my debit card details stolen after using the atm at tesco. Anyone else been hacked?

Not personally but machines have been tampered with locally. The technology to stop this is long overdue.

My husband`s debit card was scammed at the local Asda cash machine a couple of years ago. The bank rang us about unusually high transactions. It had been used to buy airline tickets...........in Malaysia! Luckily, the bank reimbursed him.

I used the atm at the local tesco tuesday afternoon 16th dec. Come Thursday I had my banks fraud team on the phone asking me about a load of unusual debits from my account. I have been reimbursed now thank goodness. Went to tesco later that day and there was a warning on the screen sugesting users should alert the royal bank if they notice anything unusual about that machine. Must have been there then I think.

So it is just an assumption that it happened at the Campbeltown store? More likely it happened when you made an online purchase. All cash machines have a display to say if you notice some thing wrong with the machine to report it.

No, no online purchases by me for about a year and a half. I am presuming it was at the atm I mentioned.
