This weekend cadet Suen Yee Walker will be joining young musicians from the Army and Air Training Corps for the Tri-Service Cadet Band Camp at Barry Buddon, Dundee.

During the course of the week they will be performing at some prestigious events, including a concert performance in the Gardens of Holyrood Palace for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Gold Presentations in the presence of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and HRH The Earl of Wessex. A Beating Retreat in Montrose to welcome HMS Montrose to the town and performing at the Naming Ceremony of the HMS Queen Elizabeth, a 70,600 tonne new Royal Navy supercarrier, in the presence of Her Majesty The Queen on 4th of July.

It’s now being reported that in addition to Her Majesty the Queen launching the new supercarrier, an F-35B will also be performing a fly past and HMS Illustrious will be alongside HMS Queen Elizabeth for the naming ceremony in Rosyth.

To round off the busy week, they will also be taking part in the Armed Forces Day Celebrations in Dundee on 5th of July.
The Unit wish Cadet Walker all the best and we look forward to seeing some photos!
