A FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Campbeltown Hall Street & Esplanade

High tides combined with a large surge of up to 1.5m are predicted for Friday afternoon, 3rd January. Coupled with these their will be strong South Westerly winds causing large wave and spray problems. Flooding of low lying coastal areas and roads is expected to start around midday and peak at about 01:15pm

Remain vigilant and remember, it is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property. Advice and information is available through Floodline on 0845 9881188. This FLOOD WARNING is now in force until further notice and was sent by phone and sms free of charge to registered customers of our Floodline direct warning service. I hope the town didn`t fare too badly, we had a very lucky escape a month ago, when local flooding stopped a couple of hundred yards from our house.
