machrihanish buyout

Postby hoots the scoop » Wed Dec 21, 2005 9:12 pm

I heard a wee story the other day that Machrihanish is about to put on the market by the MOD.

Allegedly the interested parties are Vestas, Blacker, the developer at the drome houses and the owner of the Royal Hotel with other backers who would not necessarly have the towns interests at heart..

Should the town not be interested in a community buy out to protect the local interest from these developers.

How about the Community Council finding out from our local councillors if this is true?

Sorry there too busy dealing way more trivial matters, this is far too big for the community council to be worrying about.

Maybe i'll buy it to make another factory out of it.

General Jack O'Niell - Do you ever have anything sensible to say? Dunno who you are but reading back on your posts you are always moaning about something. God help your wife (or husband - as you could be a woman!) - she must be gie depressed listening to you a' day!

Anyway, back to the subject - was there not a posting about this ages ago - one from LO which had lots of good points etc? LO???
