Want snow? come to the great plains USA Snow up to our hoo hoos its a hell of a mess, Ice underneath so driving is a challenge. At this time of year we all shuffle along like penguins. But for the real natives the lakes will freeze over soon and they can go ICE FISHING. Now theres a strange hobby.

One day of snow and certain parts of the country come to a standstill, even though it was forecast for days before. Scandinavian countries deal with far worse every year, yet suffer little disruption.

Local councils are under no legal obligation to grit the roads. Past years has seen the level of gritting and priority of roads reduced here. Snow is fun when you don't have to go anywhere and can play in it......ehh sorry I mean clear the path and driveway. :D

Want snow ?

Mayby we should swap for the winther. Looking forward to three months of darkness, snow, ice and sour roads isn't worth longing for.

Winther, (but probably not the summer), that's really one of those things that could make me do the move for Kintyre.

A friend of mine had a book the other day called The Snowflake: Winter's Secret Beauty. I found the site on the web. Click on the Photo Collections link. The wonder of it all.

Snowflakes!

The Snowflake site is pretty. Each and every one of them a wonder unto themselves.

Sorry to burst your bubbles, but is a windy 85 degrees here in beautiful downtown, Honolulu!

BTW, I really do miss the snow!

It doesn't seem right somehow shopping for a freakin Christmas tree in a pair of shorts and a T-shirt. That's just not right!
