Any of you girls into mud wrestling ? - I could probably arrange a contest on Westport Beach tomorrow morning at dawn, where this whole argument could be settled once and for all, no holds barred ! Are you up for it , or are you going to poo-poo it ?

Both the horses and the poo are a natural sight and unlike some of the car drivers and motorbikes which tear up the beach at excessive speed, I have never yet seen a horse and rider travelling on the beach at anything more than a trot.

When we get the gate put in we will come along for a wee visit Ags .

Might need you to put the kettle on for a wee cuppa though
We will also leave you some poo for your roses

Just to test your knowledge of horses, so I know that you're not just pretending to ride one in order to have a barney with argyllie and others, just for the fun of it - What is Monday morning leg ?

Also called Monday Morning Disease

The rest day for horses was allways a sunday ( working horses ,race horses etc ) and because the horse would have been confined to its stable and not moving around as much.
When exercised they would then stiffen up in the hind quarters ,suffer cramps ,sweating and of course be lame . Their urine also changes to a very dark browny red colour.Sometimes symptoms looked like colic ( a sore belly )
The horse would then have to be rested and kept warm by rugging up or applying warm blankets to the quarters and fed a laxative diet ( bran mash and epsome salts)
Thought to be a build up of lactic acid due to over feeding and reduced or no exercise .There for on a rest day the horse would be given a bran mash to try and prevent this happening .

And I did not google this

Also neilly are you also a secret horsey person too ???? seein you knew about this   If you are you should , when we get our access come out with us for a wee ride !!! ( horse one that is :D )

Seedy toe is a separation of the horse’s hoof wall from the underlying sensitive laminae at the white line, this results in a cavity which fills with crumbling dirt, horn and debris and is prone to infection.
