About the Scorpion (Wikipedia)
The Scorpion is a lightweight, high performance, two person racing dinghy. It's adjustable rig enables sailing in all weathers to crews of all weights, ages and some experience. The Scorpion was originally designed for launch and recovery through Cornish surf. It has a 14ft hard chine planing hull. The ability to adjust the rig whilst sailing means that the Scorpion can be raced in most conditions. It's light weight (81kg) gives it excellent acceleration and easy handling ashore.

Thanks for showing us the boat at the weekend, Sid. Like you say, probably a bit much of a handful for teaching the kids to sail but we'll pass the details on to our friends in Tarbert.
